I had a fabulous vacation on the island of Bonaire. As you can see, I didn't give up yoga while away, but instead incorporated it into my dive adventures. If I ever move to a Caribbean island I could start a "bubble" or deep dive yoga class.
I am now booking trapeze yoga sessions by appointment. The trapeze is a fun and challenging way to increase grip strength, flexibility and core strength.
The trapeze also provides traction to relieve back pain or discomfort.

In thinking how best to describe the summer time in Vermont I struggled to pick a single picture that would capture all that I wanted to share. Unable to find one that spoke to the beauty of the green mountains this time of year in all it’s green finery; no single one that would express the magnificence of the blossoming plants turning their colorful heads toward the sky; and none that could capture the feeling of the sun’s rays on your body after a very long, cold winter.
I selected this one from the local fireworks display at Burke Mountain, which we enjoyed from our deck. It’s a tradition for friends and family to gather on the deck each year to watch the show and for me summertime is about many traditions. Annual visits to the coast of Maine have been happening for about 40 years. Lunch out with my mom, sisters, cousins and aunt, and any other girls that care to join us to celebrate all the July birthdays is a tradition I cherish. Spending the night on the boat at Willoughby Lake at least once is summer is a must, as is sharing the garden bounty in a bucket at the bottom of the driveway.
The firework photo also represents these traditions. It also represents the “flash and sparkle” that is summertime to me – the way the light sparkles on the lake, and the fish shimmer under the water. The bright colors associated with summertime, from the multitude of flowers blooming, to the vibrant beach towels or laundry drying on the clothesline.
I intentionally chose the white firework photo to allow you to image it whatever color you like, and whichever one you choose will be perfect!

Trapeze Yoga offers a unique way of building upper body and core strength. In addition, the trapeze allows for certain poses to be passive, so you can assume deeper backbends and stretching in a way that lets you hold poses safely and for longer periods of time. Inversion therapy is known to have significant benefits including instant traction on the spine, relief of back pain, increased range of motion and more. Take a swing on the trapeze!
